Amazon - too much of a good thing?
Now, don't get me wrong. I love Amazon. They have made the last two Christmases soooo simple and their Wish List is a genius idea!
So why do they think they need to email me EVERY DAY with special offers? At first I would open the email and have a quick look and perhaps even click on a couple of items to have a better look. Then I moved on to quickly scanning the email before deleting. Now I just delete them without even looking at the title of the email. And recently I have started to become angry when I open my email in the morning and low and behold every day there is a fresh, new email from them!
I work in marketing and understand the theory behind building customer relationships, getting current customers to buy is easier than recruiting new ones etc, etc. But I still think daily emailing is too much and I am sorry Amazon, I am going to have to unsubscribe.
